How do you keep busy when you're in the van on tour? Magazines, gadgets,
doodling, cat naps?
A little bit of everything I guess. Peep dat mag, iPod solitaire, napping is tight if you can get comfy enough in there.
When you're skating the Black Box park with your crew it seems like metal fuels
your shred engines. What song gets you amped to charge every time?
Anything on Luera's iPod. 'Shoot Out the Lights' by Diamond Head is pretty badass, that would do the trick.
In Strange World, you bust a mean sneer approaching the crooks before the
big front board. When else do you break out your game face like that?
Oh yeah, it's always weird to me when the filmer starts out with pointing the camera at your face, ya know? I never really notice the game face, it just kinda happens. I'll break out a lil eye of the tiger at X-Games and stuff like that, just cause I'm trying to keep living out here and doing what I'm doing so it's cool to make some cash cheddar.
You've got quite a diverse bag of tricks. Does
that kind of variety just come natural to you? Do you day dream about certain tricks you want to do at particular spots?
Yeah kinda, as a kid and even now it was always a struggle for me to learn normal tricks. That stuff is way more fun for me, too. I like seeing people do different things on a skateboard. It gets boring when you see the same stuff everywhere you go. I definitely day dream about tricks. Not always at particular spots, but I have a few dream tricks that I think would be really cool on certain things.

Got any funny stories from going out on missions with Bart Jones? What does
he do to hype you up at a spot?
One time Bart, Matt, and myself went to Roosevelt school in SD, and while I was gettin' warmed up Bart was working on his future career in aggressive walking. I didn't see this go down, but I guess he was trying to run on the wall over a trashcan, clipped his feet and gashed his knee open real bad on a water spout that was near the ground right next to it. We had to take him to the hospital to get stitches. Bart's got his ways. When he's on a good one, which is most of the time, almost anything he says or does is enough to hype you up.
Can you tell about a funny experience involving your team mate Jamie
Tancowny, be it on or off the board?
That whole threesome thing was pretty hilarious. We got pulled over in the van one time and he ate his whole stash, I think it was a lot too. I guess that's what you'd have to do, the cops wouldn't have found it though.
Did you ever get nervous before your contest run and throw down a good old
fashioned milky way chunk blow behind the bleachers?
No, that's hilarious though. It is pretty nerve-racking but I can't say I've ever thrown up or shit my pants or whatever milky way chunks are.
What's something you splurged on with your contest winnings, and after a
little while you were over it?
Just random nonsense. Records and random movies, stuff like that. Little somesome's for the homies. I didn't really splurge out too much, I'm just super hyped on not really having to worry about budgeting that much yet.
Do you keep in touch with any of any of the other ladies from Back To The
Berg?
I've known Evelien for a while, she was the one wearing pink pants. I met her when I just turned 18, it was the first time for both of us skating in X-Games. She's sick, she lives in Belgium but we still talk to each other here and there.
Are you fully on the Zero Am team now that you came out with a ripping part
in Strange World?
I'm not really sure. I've been out of commission pretty much since the video came out, but I was told that's how it's going down. Once my shits all better I wanna try and get mad photos, it would be sick to have an ad.
