interview by Ian Berry
How did you break your arm?
About 6 months ago, I broke it skating a cellar door at the skate shop by my house. I slipped out doing a kickflip to fakie. I put my arm out and it just snapped. Just a week ago, I re-fractured it skating a box.
What did you do when you couldn't skate?
I played a lot of video games, kicked it with the family, and bought a sick pellet gun. So I shot that a lot. I went to the beach and the mountains with my family, too.
What do you like better, the beach or the mountains?
I don't know, they are both fun. We have a beach trailer in this campground that's sick. It's kind of small, but it's a good time. We have a golf cart there that's fun to cruise. As far as the mountains, we have a house in the Pocono's that's real cool. It's pretty big. We just hang out up there and shoot guns.
What happened this past Thanksgiving during family dinner?
On Thanksgiving last year, my whole family was over my house and we looked out my backyard and there was a nine-point buck. My dad grabbed the gun and took it out...ha.
Did you save the deer, stuff it, and add it to the 'Room of Death'?
Haha...yeah we got it stuffed and it's chilling on the wall now in the 'Room of Death'. The 'Room of Death' is basically my whole down stairs, it's where all the stuffed deer and anything else dead is located.

Have you ever killed or shot at a deer before?
About 3 months ago, me and my friends got back to my house at night and there were 3 deer in my backyard. I heard you could kill a deer with a pellet gun if you hit them in the eye. I shot it about half an inch above the eye and it dropped dead.
So now a lot of your time is spent on the West Coast, how is that?
It's cool. Skate the Black Box park a lot.
How do you go about filming for the Zero video?
I like to just go skating and if you get something...sick. If not, then whatever. It's hard to skate when it's stressful, it's easier to get stuff if it's mellow.
How was the recent filming trip on the East Coast?
It was good for the most part. We got some tricks and some web clips. It would have been better if the sun was out a little more.
How is filming on the East Coast different from West?
They are both good, but on the East you have to deal with weather rather than the on West when 99 percent of the time you know it's going to be sunny. Spots on the East are sometimes harder to skate. Where the West Coast is harder to find new spots because everyone skates. If you took the goods of both worlds it would be perfect.
